Grinding Western Medicine - Pharmaceutical Application

Description:Applying size reduction technology in the preparation of pharmaceutical drugs brings numerous benefits, such as more precise dosages, reducing side effects, increasing the fineness of the active ingredient for faster absorption and even distribution.

Western Medicinal Size Reduction Processes:Western medicinal production uses ultra-fine grinding (for non-fiber, non-sugar class of drugs), vibration grinding (applicable for fiber-type drugs), jet milling (for drug ultra-fine grinding) and cryogenic grinding (applicable to grinding heat sensitive drugs).

Working Principle:

The FQP series disk jet mill utilizes highly pressurized air that is cooled, filtered and dried before entering the rotary grinding chamber to produce powders. The feed enters the grinding chamber through an inlet nozzle to multiple high-speed rotating disks, causing the feed to undergo size reduction through collision, friction, shearing and crushing forces to produce powders with superfine structure and morphology.

After grinding, the superfine powders will be carried along with the pressurized gas to enter a precise grading and classifying section within the FCP jet mill to sort the various sizes of powders. After purification and screening, the powders are produced through the outlet.

                                                                       FQW Pharmaceutical Jet Mill(GMP)

Working Principle:

The pharmaceutical jet mill uses high speed air to achieve ultra-fine grinding of dry materials, and has various components such as feeders, crushing, grading and sorting zones. Through feeding the material into the crushing zone, the feed undergoes vacuum size reduction with the air flow drawing the crushed powder into the sorting and classification zone. When the material meets the size requirements, the powder will pass and be collected in a cyclone powder collector, while the larger sized and coarse materials returned into the grinding and crushing zone to be further reduced in size.

 

Structural Features

  • 1. Well finished equipment without dead ends, easy to clean. Meets CMP standards.
  • 2. 25-35% more yield compared to a conventional fluidized bed jet mill for the same grinding fineness.
  • 3. Materials are reduced in size through pneumatic means. Does not produce heat in the process.
  • 4. Optimized classifying wheel mechanism achieves higher line speed with higher cutting accuracy than the conventional ultra-fine jet mills.
  • 5. Consistent and production with a narrow size distribution of the produced powders.
  • 6. Through the use of advanced automation and controls with real time operating status display, the equipment is easy to operate.
  • 6. Additional control and monitoring systems such as central monitoring systems or remote monitoring can be added as according to the customers’ requirements.

 

Applications
